Exclusive to Hotdisc clients this is a list of the Top 40 Most Popular Songs released on the Hotdisc promotional album. DJs and media people submit their ratings to each song.
To prevent songs being in the chart for a long time, and focus on new music, a song is subject to ACR (Accelerated Chart Ratio) after 10 weeks if their points average dips from the week before. This puts a 5% penalty on their average total week on week. This is standard practice used by the Official Charts Company who compile the British Music Charts.
The chart is published weekly here, also in Country Music People and Country Music & Dance magazines with the radio show syndicated in Europe, and the new Hotdisc Top 20 TV programme on air Sundays at 2pm. Watch previous TV shows in HD here.
LW is last week’s position – WOC denotes weeks a song has been on the chart. To view the video for each song if available click on the video icon or song title. In the British & Irish chart * denotes a song written by at least one British or Irish writer.
